The sense of life

 
I used to think I live to fulfil a mission
and lived just for it.
I would have given everything,
my strength, my mind, my life.
I thought I’m and my life is not important.
And that I’m just a grain of sand on the beach. 
But I realized that is not like that.
 
Today I know that the sense of life is to live it.
In all colours and with all feelings.
And to learn and to grow and to share.
 
You don’t have to study books
or become religious,
I’m telling you, as easy as it sounds,
the sense of life is to live.
 
You´re important
no matter if you broke a record
or got the Nobel Prize
or saved somebody’s life
or not.
You don’t have to do something great or to fulfil a mission,
you make life special, colourful and beautiful
just by being here.
 
So stop wondering why you were born
and live.
Because that is the sense.

Sehnsuchtsherz von Stefanie Haertel



Der Gedichtband "Sehnsuchtsherz" enthält lyrische Werke in deutsch, englisch und französischer Sprache. Die einzelnen Gedichte handeln zumeist über das wandelbare Wesen und die verschiedenen Gesichter der Liebe, aber auch über den Sinn des Lebens auf stets bildhafte und phantasievolle Weise. Der Band wurde auf der Leipziger Buchmesse 2013 ausgestellt und ist Bestandteil der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek. Er ist alle dennen gewidmet, die an die wahre Liebe glauben oder glauben möchten.
