Olivia Chevron

The Perfect Gift

Were white dahlias not enough
To make you think of him?
Of how you gently touched his cuff,
Kissed his cheek, caressed his chin.
What more do you want
When you cannot have it?
Why stretch it out of shape
When it's the perfect fit?
Why not stay on course
When you are out adrift?
Why deny yourself this love
When it's the perfect gift?
