Silwe Stoll

It Was the Wind

The sky turns grey as summer leaves
that luck we shared was much too brief
With all the troubles in these days
I lost the picture of your face

though not the words you said to me
for that I now have found the key
your last words didn't say good-bye
but meant it, I learned from your eye

It was the wind with that you came
and all we had was just that game
we loved to play but did we know
that one of us would have to go?

I look around and all I see
are trees with falling leaves, like me
You disappeared as I have seen
Now there's a hole where you've once been

It's getting bigger till I fall
into the deepest pain of all
I wish I could resist my heart
to find again a right new start

It was the wind with that you came
and all we had was just that game
We loved to play but did we know
that one of us would have to go?
