Michael Jacob

The undying cowardice

Torn apart.
Shall I, shall I not?

I'm in love, yet shall not be.
Every time I look at thee
An instant of pure pleasantry.

Every second spent with ye
- The hugs and smiles especially -
I feel like never leaving.

This cruel hope I held within,
The dream that would allow me to
Feel for you what I now do.

I am in love, that's crystal clear.
What's not is: should I dare...

So history returns
And I have not learned a thing.

And still I'm torn apart.
