My well good friend wherever been,
is my lovely mandolin,
she’s like a woman from time to time,
find the right side and the feeling ist fine.
find in each way the right accord,
then it gets better and better oh Lord.
She goes with me tones high and down,
be with me in land, home or town.
Bad weather, one day cold, one warm,
doesn’t she like and loose soon her charme.
But it is also like a good, warmhearted marriage,
Me and my mandolin go together like horse and carriage.
