Zero is very important number

All of the numbers on the number scale held an annual convention to determine the community’s most valuable number.
Each number was given an opportunity to vote for a number to represent him or her by speaking to all the numbers on a variety of issues. Numbers were not allowed to vote for themselves.
Ten and One had never addressed the convention, so they were chosen to give the reasons for their importance during the event.
“When God gave the commandments to the Children of Israel, He gave 10 commandments to Moses,” said Ten, who then quoted the Commandments from the Old Testament. “‘Thou shalt have no other gods before me,’” One said.
One by one, Ten recited the Commandments. “‘Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
Ten soon got down to the commandment about a person honoring his or her parents. “‘Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
‘“Thou shalt not kill.
“‘Thou shalt not commit adultery.
‘“Thou shalt not steal.
“‘Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
“‘Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.’”
Ten concluded his remarks by saying, “When the time comes to vote, please consider voting for Number Ten.”
“Great job!,” One exclaimed, as he accepted the microphone from Ten.
One then proceeded to tell all the numbers that one was the most important number. “My presentation will be short and sweet,” he said. “There is only one way that mankind can be saved, and that is through Jesus Christ, God’s Son.”
One reminded all of the other numbers that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, was crucified on the Cross of Calvary and shed his blood for the sins of the world, died, was buried in a borrowed tomb, and was resurrected from the dead.
Since One had not used all his allotted time, Zero asked for permission to address the crowd.
“My Fellow Numbers, I realize that each of us numbers has his or her own value,“ Zero said. “And I would like to say that my number is pretty important, too. After Jesus washes a person’s sins away, how many sins does he or she have?”
Answering his own question, Zero shouted into the microphone, “Zero, My Friends!,” he exclaimed. “Zero!”
