Ambrosia

Ambrosia

Ambrosia is the land where I am Queen.
A more just or loved one
Before me has not been.

To my right, The Chancellor
My dear old friend
The Bachelor.

My chambermaid Ruccola
Plats my hair in auburn strands.
She plays the lute and pianola
With bony, ebony, ivory hands.

My favourite pet, a Cyprese cat
Goes by the name of Cleopat.
Lounging lazily on the chaise-longue
Waiting for her dinner gong.

In my Queendom there is pearl and gems.
I ride my horses, sew my hems.
I play the harp and harpsichord,
Appoint the Ladies, Knights and Lords.
