Inge Offermann

Orange Blossoms

Her skin shone
like orange blossoms
in the darkness
of his room.
No daylight flowed
through the window
into the dusky atmosphere.

He felt a grey morning
has appeared.
His eyes were closed,
whereas he tasted
the odour of her hair,
the odour of her skin.

She didn’t told of love,
but softly kissed
his eyebrow telling:
“That’s enough to understand”.
He nodded, she was right.

Her skin really shone
like orange blossoms
in the darkness of
his candle-lighted room.
