Karoline Goldberg

Arms wide open

Her legs were split,
her chest leaned back,
Her head was slightly lifted,
and her eyes had gone black.

What happens must,
she surely knew,
She prayed for the angels dust,
to help her through.

One more rat was now to come,One more,
after the last one was gone.
One more,
was to continue her song

A tune once written by herself,
was now an ordinary symphonie,
old and used,
degraded to the dustiest shelf.

She had picked each word,
as accurate as a chinas man,
had known each note by heart.
Even the ending was all planned out,
but by the bridge it had fallen apart.

Who ruled it now,
the melody of life?
The one once so soft and pure,
The one now sharp as a knife.
She does not know,Will never neither,
So with arms wide opened,
she will stay and be,
Though they are clasping shut,
as soon as you do not see.
