Your love

Is like a warm overcoat,
Embracing me
In its wholeness,
Protecting me in all weather.
I weep and sing
Under its shelter,
Laugh and breathe,
Grow and blossom
In the freedom
Of being myself,
Until the day
When death decides
To take away
My warm overcoat.
