Erika Seetzen-Woods

We have lost you

Today you are silent
And live inside yourself,
Presenting a sad picture
Of mental agony to us
Who try in vain to reach
Your wounded mind.

How we wish
That we could hear again
Your silvery laughter
From the past
And see your lovely eyes,
Which you are now hiding from us,

With your face turned away to the wall,
Twisting and pulling out your hair.
We`ve tried so hard to reach you!
Our tears and sobs bade us to make an exit,
With our kiss and embrace for you,
Saying “goodbye“ with a heavy heart.
