Larissa Lamadé

The desert

My head is bursting
I feel so numb
Tears that don't come
Stony fingers around my heart
Separated, isolated
A lost desert without borders
Dreamy waves of timeless sand
Dancing around my skin, caressing
No water to still my thirst
Soft traces left when someone looks
Just white washed bones are left of me
forgotten, left behind, no one will see
A nightmarish sea of all my fears
An unseen maze without escape
I, myself, the biggest threat
I lost myself inside my head
