The Death Of Me
On my final day of destiny
when I will cross over
From Life to Death
On the day of my final breath.
And then the truth of who Am,
or who I was, or wanted to be
will take me into eternity.
I have sung, and prayed and played
and dreamt, have felt both powerful
but sometimes 'furklempt'.
i have laughed and cried and have
Taken sides of both good and bad,
happy and sad.
I have taught others my beliefs in
God, Jesus and Holy Spirit
have preached and witnessed to
any vwho would hear it.
But I've also been silent and
Have cried, come face to face
With my sin of pride.
At times I've moved in authority
But at other times have also felt,
That's not really me.
So ...as I contemplate
The End of Me..
This is The Truth of what I see:
I have lived a life
Of a human being
And with that said
Here's what I'm seeing
With wonder and awe
I just don't know how it will be
As I step into Eternity...
