Sven Eisenberger

The colour of history

Bristol blue is the colour of History, I once found out in a Margate antique shop
Eyes aching as I finish E.P. Thompson´s Making, bright light shining from the top
Remember the ol´ shopkeeper´s tears in Highbury who sold his dreams in boxes
A burnt CPGB card back in ´56, scornful smile for noble horsemen hunting foxes
