This dark afternoon




This dark afternoon
  
White lights, red lights,
stoplights - headlights,
street lamps in a row:
cars fast or slow.
Beams of light cutting the dark
in the roads around the park.
 
 
A white worm
creeping towards me to wind
itself on the opposite side -
a red dragon
before me and - I know - behind,
rushing shadows aside
 
 
...and above...
who cares for the moon
this dark afternoon,
for the stars‘ still light
and for love?
