Togetherness

Togetherness

I want you, I need you,
of that I am resigned.
‘Tis the elixir of life,
locked inside my mind.

I see your eyes, I see your face,
entranced as in  dreams,
Captivated , spellbound,
all’s not as it seems.

I take your hand, draw you close
and gaze into your eyes.
I see the yearning from within,
feelings you can’t disguise.

The echoes of your heartbeat
beat gently in my brain,
intoxicating rhythms,
driving me insane.

And so at last my dearest
your love I do reclaim.
Fascinating dreamer,
once again we are the same.

Our fire is rekindled,
love’s attraction reinstalled.
Once again we are as one
Togetherness recalled.
