Candle of Time

Like a candle

burning down

days go by,

and as I see

the bent candle

is near the end,

the tiny flame

is slowly

flickering down.

So I also

counted

the days

passed.

Kerze der Zeit

Wie eine langsam

flackernde Kerze

vergehen die Tage.

Als ich merke,

dass die Kerze

bis auf den Stumpf

niederbrennt,

erlischt das

Flämmchen fast.

So zählte ich auch

verflossene Tage.
