Gave it all

Life is a great escapade,
Sprinkled with narrow turns.
Sometimes the sky is the only way,
Sometimes it only hurts.

Love is a healing wave of light,
An unknown mystery.
Lost hope it can incite,
Can hold the master key.

Never scared to take a hit,
Always on the move,
Sometimes I was losing it,
But never lived untrue.

I gave it all but am still alive,
Wherever the journey went.
I gave it all and will still fight,
To reach a happy end.

Words are easy, they don't have to be true,
Am I one bloody clown?
Wouldn't really be something new,
This world is not my town.

Life is a great escapade,
Has not broken me yet.
My heart prays that I get paid,
In life’s greatest roulette.
